Laser Therapy

The Diowave® 100-Watt high-power laser with stealth micro-pulse® technology is the most powerful and advanced therapeutic laser. Treatment with this therapeutic laser is only available at a limited number of healthcare offices nationwide. Everything else is yesterday’s technology.

The industry-leading power of 100 Watts allows for deeper penetration and stimulation of human tissue. High-power laser therapy (HPLT) is classified as actinotherapy which means it results in both chemical and metabolic changes within the body. There is no other form of treatment that has this beneficial effect. The process starts when the photons from the laser light penetrate the skin and underlying tissue, which are then absorbed by the cells and converted into energy. The energy promotes the healing of human tissue at an accelerated rate. Our laser is also a potent activator of stem cells which are integral in the healing process of damaged tissues.

Stealth micro-pulse® laser therapy (SMPLT) is only available with the Diowave® laser. SMPLT allows the doctor to hold a treating handpiece static over the treatment area without heating the tissue. This allows 100% of the laser energy to reach the targeted site.

Some of the many conditions which have been responsive to HPLT with stealth micro-pulse® technology include:

  • Previously unmanageable conditions such as failed back surgery.
  • Peripheral neuropathy (pain, numbness, tingling, and/or weakness from nerve damage, usually in hands and feet).
  • Spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal).
  • Disc herniations with radiculopathy (nerve entrapment producing pain, numbness, tingling, and/or weakness).
  • Arthritis.
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome (nerve entrapment in the wrist causing pain, numbness, tingling, and/or weakness in the hand).
  • Foot and ankle pain.
  • Non-healing wounds.

Patients may begin to experience a positive change in their health with just one or two laser treatments. Most conditions can really benefit from between six to twelve laser treatments. Maintenance care may be recommended and take place as often as one to two treatments per month or one treatment every two to three months.
